Horsepower says a lot when it comes to engine builds, but it doesn’t tell the whole story. At the end of the day, building a reliable high-performance side-by-side involves a lot more than Dyno numbers. That’s one of the huge advantages of teaming up with EVP on your next build for expert-level engine services and support. Not only can we get your engine to put out killer power, but our ECU tuning, clutching and suspension expertise can also get your car completely dialed for dominating the sand, desert, mud or asphalt.

CNC-PORTED CUSTOM HEADS
More air coming in means more power going out. CNC machining ensures that every port job gets done the same—every time. The Maverick X3 head has very small ports, which restricts airflow and limits the engine. With porting, more air can get into and out of the cylinders and, generally, a ported head makes more power at less boost than a non-ported version. EVP’s CNC-porting process includes opening and smoothing out both the intake and exhaust, and includes a complete valve job with seals and guides. Stage 1 is perfect for an "entry-level" power package and includes porting with stock valves and valve springs. Stage 2 takes it a bit further and includes +1mm intake and +1mm exhaust valves. Both options are guaranteed to enhance airflow, improve fuel atomization, and deliver the stability your engine needs to harness all that added power.

The EVP Stage 2 Custom Engine Package is perfect for big-power builds. This power package includes the EVP Stage 2 Race Block featuring a closed deck, steel sleeves and 10mm head studs. Additional components include CP Pistons and Rods as well as the EVP Stage 2 Race Head, which is CNC ported with +1mm intake and exhaust valves, upgraded valve springs, and EVP Race Cams.
